DC scooter is what made our entire trip! First time going to Washington DC and as soon as we got there I realized my daughter and I needed scooters to people to see as much as possible. We called DC Scooter and by the time we finally found a parking space he was there with the mini segways! We ended up living then so much that I rented them for all day and even over night! We saw more then we could have ever imagined in the 3 days we were there! Nothing better than cruising through the national mall walkways on these mini segways at midnight 😁 This was our vacation vacation to date thanks to these scooters. They are self balancing and we both felt very safe and comfortable on them! My daughter is only 11 and I am disabled due to a major car crash in 2013 so that should speak for itself! ~ Heather F

DC Dart Scooter was fantastic! My Dad, son and I gave to the city for the first time to visit, participate in the Cherry Blossom races and enjoy the museums. As a treat, I rented scooters for my son and me one afternoon. Unfortunately one of the scooters stopped working after a while and when I called to let the company know, they immediately called me back, refunded me for the lost time and gave me complimentary scooters to enjoy the next day. Joey was absolutely fantastic by returning my call immediately, being so kind and accommodating and standing behind their product. I would 100% recommend this company and experience. It was a great way to get around the city quickly and complimented our 10-20 miles of walking per day (to keep my son happy and entertained as well!) ~ Nicole W

THIS is a MUST when visiting DC! Forget about guided tours and Uber scooters that you have to "find" laying around and kick start. Or bikes you have to work way too hard to pedal. DC scooters let's you take your mini segway and go WHEREVER you want! Stop and easily lock them with the app to go inside a building if you need a break. Them hop back on and see everything! Our 12yo LOVED these! Of course us adults did as well. He showed us how to use them and took time to make sure everyone in our group was comfortable and off we went. They're so much fun to ride, they're small and agile. We had no problem maneuvering the sidewalks etc. We went all the way to the Lincoln memorial, White House, national mall, capital building, WWII memorial, EPA, Washington Monument and more in just the 3 hour rental...Highly recommend! ~ Christina R

I honestly don't know where to start. 1st before finding dc scooter i rented a highly rated competitive scooter. At the time I thought was good until I drove my scooter from DC. You will not be disappointed in how it responds, the speed and overall ride. On top of that I made a sper of the moment call to rent 2 for 24 hours. They were at my hotel within 30min Not only were they priced competitively up front they also gave a discount for renting 2 vs just 1. As far as I am concerned you will be hurting yourself by not having a DC scooter. Thank you very much for everything you did for us that allowed me to show my son DC in such a great way. Easy Online transaction for 5 scooters for 3 hours at 12pm on 20 DEC. We arrived at 12:10pm, and the 5 scooters were ready to go! All we had to do was call the number on the door and the guy renting them came down, and off we went. Every scooter worked well (No issues). We used them for 3 hours, no problems. The scooters made it really easy for us to get from one end of the Mall to the other (Much faster than walking, each scooter could make approx. 22 kph). We were able to see all of the major monuments along the National mall. I would recommend this scooter rental place. Easy transaction, scooters in good shape--We had a great time! ~ Phil M

They went above and beyond on my rental! We absolutely loved scooting around town with these, i rode on one with my ten year old girl and my 14 year old drove another. If we walked we would have seen about a quarter of what we saw and the kids would have complained a ton more about their legs being tired 😂. I was debating between just getting a lime when we wanted but that would have taken longer and we would have had to find them and play that game, which always sucks, plus in the end renting for 24 hours was even cheaper than continually renting. Great way to see the monuments when you are tired of walking. It was easy to book online and they dropped the scooters right off at our hotel. We then just left the scooters outside of our hotel at the end of four hours. We hired two scooters for four of us. We put each kid in front and the adult behind and it worked very well. Lots of fun for the kids (they gave us helmets too). We made the most of seeing things further away (e.g. Jefferson monument, Arlington Museum, White House). Four hours was just enough to do those three sights and eat lunch. Will rent again next time we come to D.C. ~ Michael R

If I could go back to DC, I would have to rent scooters for at least one full day from DC Scooter again! My teenage son and I enjoyed exploring DC with the scooters and they were a big part of our trip. We were able to see all the memorials, art museums, the Library of Congress, the Capitol, the White House, and Georgetown! Joie and Greg kept in touch with us and made the process so easy; we picked up and dropped off the scooters at the Archives Metro station. Greg was fantastic to work with! He gave my 10 and 8 year old time to learn the Segway before we took off. My husband and I used the scooters, and there is a noticeable difference in the quality and ride of DC Scooters versus any other scooter you'll find in DC. The location is convenient to all of the hot spots(Capitol Building, Library of Congress, White House, Justice Building, National Mall, etc). I would highly encourage booking 3+ hours. My family will be back to DC and we can't wait to rent these again. Definitely recommend booking with Greg and DC Scooter! ~ Brittany W

Awesome family experience! We came to DC last year & couldn't find any scooters that we could rent multiple units for our family to enjoy. I believe this is the only company that will allow you to rent multiple units at once. Greg met us & was prompt, professional, & made it an easy & enjoyable experience for us. We even split our 6 hours & were able to ride back to the hotel & pick up our other 3 hrs the next day! Got to see sites downtown & made some great memories. Husband and I brought our three boys (ages 15,14,10) to DC during April break. Exploring DC via scooter was one of the highlights! DC Scooter Rental was easy to book online. Received email and text confirmations. Greg responded timely to questions via phone and text. We booked five scooters for three hours. Picked up and returned scooters from DC Scooter shop. Easy ride up and down 11th St. using the bike lanes and sidewalks where we used the scooters to explore the National Mall. I don't normally write reviews, but the wonderful experience we had with DC Scooters had to be mentioned. From the moment we met Joie when she dropped off our scooters, the experience was top notch. This was the best part of our DC trip! We were able to see so many more things because we had the scooters. The people at DC Scooters were friendly and flexible, willing to update our reservation as our schedule changed. We had five people in our group ages 9-44 and everyone was able to operate the scooters. When we had an issue with one of the scooters at the beginning of our journey, they were able to help us get it fixed right away (it was operator error!!). On the recommendation of a friend, we decided to rent scooters while in DC, and went with DC Scooter because they allow minors to drive their own scooter. It was probably the best decision we made. We were originally going to do a half day, but kept extending and ended up keeping them for a day and a half. My kids loved them. My 11 year old easily handled one on his own, and my 9 year old rode with my husband. If we come back, we will renting again, and I'll be recommending DC Scooter to everyone I know who's coming to DC. Fantastic experience. ~ Janet K

There is no better way to see the National Mall, memorials, and monuments! Not only was it fun, but we didn’t wear ourselves out walking miles. We locked our scooters, took pictures, and then rode away again. At one point we realized we had tickets for the Washington Monument in 10 minutes and we were all the way at the Jefferson Memorial. We made it with time to spare. And we loved that our 11 year old could ride her own scooter, since other companies make you wait until you’re 16. Such a great way to see DC!! We will 100% only see the National Mall this way in the future! ~ Susan S

Wow, what a GREAT way to tour DC with the family! We (myself and 4 kids, ages 11-17) rented five scooters and did our own mini tour of all the monuments. It was so easy. Greg met us at our hotel, unloaded the scooters from his truck, and we were on our way. He stayed in communication with us all day as we locked and unlocked the scooters at various locations. We had a blast! We will definitely rent again from DC Scooters the next time we are in town. As another reviewer said earlier... great service, great prices, great time!!! ~ Kirsten B

Highly recommend using these guys. Online booking was quick a simple. We booked the night before and they were ready to go when we got to the place the next day. The guy was very friendly and gave us a quick demo and chance to try them out. The scooters are really comfy and easy to ride - even my mum who wasn't sure had a great time. They can go quite fast and handle bumps well. We only rented them for 2 hours but would consider longer next time. Really great way to see all the sights on the national mall and the Jefferson memorial. ~ Laura G

We rented 6 scooters for our family last week while on vacation in DC. They were super friendly, easy to work with, and went out of their way to accommodate us. We absolutely loved our experience and our scooter tour will be remembered as a highlight of our trip! We rented them for 2 hours and toured the national mall and did a loop around it, stopping at most of the monuments and sights (except for the Washington monument and White House which we'd seen on foot the day before.) 2 hours was barely enough time for that, you might consider 3 hours if you want to see more or want to have some extra time to spent at some of the monuments. All of the scooters worked great and were easy to operate. None of us wanted to turn them in when our time was up because it was so much fun riding them around. And the rest of our trip we found ourselves wishing we still had scooters whenever we had to walk anywhere. I would absolutely rent from them again and wouldn't consider doing the national mall any other way. ~ Richard D

We had a great experience with DC Scooter! Joie who helped us was amazing. She dropped off our 3 scooters right outside our hotel, showed us how to use them and sent us on our way within a few minutes. She brought a helmet for our 10 year old daughter and taught her how to use the scooter. I would give them 10 stars if I could. The website was easy to use, and when we had a quick question someone picked up quickly and answered all our questions. They are very responsive via text before, during, and after drop off and pick up. Scooters were easy to use and navigate The Mall on for all. We will definitely use DC Scooters any time we are back in the area and will recommend them to all. I always prefer to use local small businesses as opposed to corporately owned ones so that was a major bonus as well. You can also ride these scooters anywhere, they don’t have GPS locks like the other larger brands/companies do which prohibit you from using some sidewalks and will stop working in those areas. We were in DC for 6 days and rented 2 scooters for the whole time. They were amazing and really allowed us to explore DC so much more efficiently and made it much more enjoyable. Such a great way to see the city. Just riding them around was one of our favorite things to do. It was the best thing I spent my money on for the whole trip and I would do it again every time! Amazing. Perfect. Easy. Fun. Four words which describe our experience in DC made possible because DC’s Scooters. We traveled everywhere on these scooters, and I mean everywhere. Our family was able to experience so much more in our 5 day trip to DC than we had anticipated. We were not exhausted at the end of the day from walking and getting beat up by the sun, we simply zipped from one location to another with ease and no restrictions like other scooters had. When the batteries got low, usually that night as the batteries lasted all day even on the faster modes we just texted our contact and new fully charged scooters were waiting for us in the morning. The one time we experienced a scooter having a bad day, we texted our contact and while we were in the Library of Congress they changed it out so our adventure was not negatively impacted in the slightest. We would absolutely use them again when we return. DC Scooters were a game changer for us and we appreciate their hard work making our vacation so amazing. ~ Brenda T

Best way to see DC. We rented scooters from this place and skeptical at first when we ran into a problem; however, the service was so good that they replaced the problem scooter. They come to you, whenever their is a issue. We never had to go and return the scooters. This company was very easy to work with. They even cut us a great deal. I thought I was just going to rent for a few hours and ended up renting for 4 full days. Best place to rent scooters in DC. ~ Mamta B
